World Down Syndrome Day 2021
Over the past week our team, including members and staff, have worn colourful and mismatching socks in order to raise awareness for Down syndrome.
In these pictures you can see #LotsOfSocks which were worn over the past week for #WorldDownSyndromeDay
If you want to raise awareness for World Down Syndrome Day, then join us by taking part in this campaign which was organised by the United Nations and Down Syndrome International
In addition to raising awareness we must continue to fight for inclusion for persons with Down syndrome, as well as other disabilities. It is through inclusion that we can help create meaningful lives within our society.
All you need to do to join the conversation is;
– wear colourful and mismatched socks,
– post a picture of them on social media and
– use the hashtag #LotsOfSocks to help raise awareness.
If you wish to do more, then you may advocate for inclusion in your everyday life. You may also join the virtual World Down Syndrome Day conference to make sure that all persons with Down syndrome can #Connect and participate on an equal basis with others.
